When I first got the idea of starting a blog, all I hoped for was to make a change. However small it might be. If it were that somebody somewhere show love to a stranger, so be it! If it were that we all as one stop with our pretentious, hypocritical ways, I would have loved it.

I am amazed by the popularity that the blog has garnered thus far: spurning debate as to what true love truly is, the vanity of life, and other topics from the array of my articles. I give God all the Glory for allowing me to get to as many people as I have been able to.

Therefore, on that note, I wish to discuss a hoax that has existed since time immemorial. A hoax that has fooled many people around the globe and gotten them straight onto the broad road that leads to destruction, headed for the wide gate that leads to eternal damnation.
I, too, had fallen victim to the hoax for a period of time before God gracefully yielded me out of it. "What is this hoax?" You may ask. Well, allow me to explain.

There has been the long-time hoax that for one to be considered worthy of people's acclamation, one must be a rebel of some sorts. The hoax that for one to succeed as a blogger, one must discuss unspeakable topics filled with curse words and obscenities. The hoax that for one to be 'cool', they must denounce the Word of God and be hot-headed and hell-bent in denying his Love for man. The hoax that one simply MUST be atheist to shine as a socialite. May those who have ears hear, and those who have eyes read!

This is a hoax that has its long, greasy tentacles wrapped around the youth, and it has blinded them and covered them in a veil too difficult to unravel on their own. They are blinded to the Truth right in front of them and are not even aware of it! They are disciples to this preposterous hoax like the proverbial lamb being led to the slaughter house. This is clearly shown by taking a trip around high schools, particularly around my hometown of Nairobi, Kenya (don't get comfortable if this is not your hometown. This is just but a case study! The results elicited are the same everywhere around the world!). The Sunday services in schools around Nairobi are filled with students who sleep all through the service because on the Saturday night before, they were deeply engrossed in the school entertainment that involved listening to the wrong types of music, watching the wrong types of films, and who knows? Maybe even drinking the wrong types of drinks! These are the same students who deny Christianity in all aspects, and prefer to stare blankly into the faces of the preachers with a fa├žade like that of "Finish your story and leave!" Sad, is it not?

Reminds me of a time we had gone evangelising in another East African country, Rwanda, in its capital city of Kigali. I remember one episode when after our procedural entertaining skits on life skills, we got to the actual task of ministering to the youth. I got onto the stage and began my 10-minute sermon on "Christianity in Layman's Terms" and to my surprise, a section of the audience started walking out. No! They were not walking. They were swaggering out of the venue proudly! Just so that they could seem like they were 'cool'! Like they were the hot-headed fellas who "couldn't listen to that Jesus stuff".

The fact is this: if you believe in that hoax, YOU ARE A FOOL! Please don't think of me different because I say this. Instead, check the Scriptures.
1 Corinthians 1:18: "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
The Word of the Sovereign God is foolishness to you because you ARE PERISHING! It is the fact!

Now, if you abide by the hoax, your desire is in getting the approval of colleagues, classmates and peers. Correct? If yes? Once more, I shall refer you to the Scriptures.
Luke 9:25: "What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?"
What good will it do you to get the approval of fellow men here on Earth, for a limited amount of time, when you're headed for damnation, for an unlimited amount of time (read 'eternally')? What good will it do you to obtain the 'admiration' of fellow lost souls if you lack salvation from the Most High God, who reigns in the heavens? I mean, then what? You have hundreds or millions of Twitter followers because your tweets are filled with obscenities and brutal talk when you lack eternal life in happiness?! You have millions of views on your blog because you write on sexually immoral topics?! So what?! What good will all those 'friends' do you as you're driven to your grave? So you get money through the wrong means? Maybe you even steal it from innocent civilians? Please, tell me then, what good will all that money do you in your coffin?!!

And so, on that note, if you wish to be free from the hoax, say this with me: "I DECREE and DECLARE that I shall be free from this hoax." For the Scripture tells us in Romans 12:2: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will ishis good, pleasing and perfect will."

You see, people are fond of living their lives carelessly and they hide under the blanket statement of 'YOLO; that is, You Only Live Once'. They drink. "YOLO!" They smoke. "YOLO!"
My question is this: "Why only live once when you can accept Jesus into your life and have life FOREVER?! Why only live once when you can have everlasting life? For this is what Christ teaches us in the verse that we know so much of, but understand so little about.
John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have ETERNAL LIFE."

Other people, they too trapped in the hoax, believe that they shall live their lives carelessly and they say: "I'm just living for today. You never know what tomorrow may bring." Some of them even go to the extent of slanderously misquoting Matthew 6:34 which says: "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Please note I have said 'slanderously' since most of these people fail to acknowledge the words of the verse prior to that one: verse 33: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.")
However, if you are free from the hoax, don't live for today! No! Please don't! "Why?" You ask. Because Earth is not our home. Our home, AS CHRISTIANS, is in Heaven. With God. Don't live for today thinking and living by the ways of the World. No! Live the way Christ lived. As it says in Matthew 6:48: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."

And if you are free from the hoax, may you accept Jesus into your life. Read Revelation 3:20: "[Behold]! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me." That is the voice of Jesus. He stands at the door of your heart and awaits to enter. Come on. Open the door and let him into your heart. Make the right choice today, and it shall be a decision you shall never regret!

Kevoh, that's where Jesus comes in. "James 4 tells us to "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
